National Recovery Month 2026

National Recovery Month is an annual U.S. observance held every September to celebrate individuals in recovery, promote evidence‑based treatment, and reduce stigma surrounding mental health and substance use disorders.     Why It Matters

    • Nearly 49 million Americans experienced a substance use disorder in the past year, with many also facing co‑occurring mental health conditions.
    • Stigma and lack of access prevent many from receiving needed treatment.
    • Recovery Month highlights hope, healing, and the effectiveness of treatment. Impactful Ninja
